Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create a founder or investor account we collect your email address to authenticate you with one-time sign-in links.

Financial and business data. The metrics you enter or retrieve from accounts you choose to connect, the prior updates you paste in, and the updates and forecasts Vectig produces from them. This data belongs to you.

Investor contacts. The names and email addresses you add or import so that Vectig can deliver your updates.

Reading activity. Per-recipient opens and clicks on updates sent through Vectig, shown to the founder who sent them.

Usage data. We collect basic analytics such as pages visited, features used, and browser type to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Vectig service
• To authenticate you via magic link emails
• To assemble your update drafts and forecasts from the data you provide
• To deliver updates to the recipients you selected, on your instruction
• To show reading activity to the founder who sent an update
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links, runway alerts)
• To process payments through our payment provider
• To improve the product and fix issues

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not build benchmarks or cross-company aggregates from founders' private data.

3. AI Drafting & Your Data

The narrative engine that drafts investor updates is conditioned on your prior updates, supplied as context. Your data is never used to train any model. No fine-tuning occurs, and none of your data enters any model's weights.

Drafting runs on models from Anthropic, accessed through their API under terms that prohibit the use of your data for model training. Your metrics and prior updates are sent to Anthropic only at drafting time, only to produce your draft.

4. Investor Recipients and Investor Accounts

If a founder sends you updates through Vectig, we process your email address and your reading activity on that founder's instruction, so their updates reach you and they can see they were read.

If you create a free investor account, we collect the email addresses you verify and show you the updates sent to those addresses, grouped by company. You see exactly what each founder chose to send you and nothing more. If an update was forwarded to you, you can request access, and the founder decides.

If a founder added your details and you would rather not be in Vectig, email us at support@vectig.com and we will remove you.

5. Reading Activity

Updates sent through Vectig include measurement of opens and clicks, per recipient, in the way ordinary email tools measure them. That activity is visible to the founder who sent the update. We use it for no other purpose.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers to operate Vectig:

Paddle. Payment processing, as merchant of record. Paddle collects payment details directly inside its checkout; we never see or store your card information.

Resend. Email delivery: sign-in links, alerts, and the investor updates you send.

Amazon Web Services (AWS). File storage for exported reports.

Anthropic. AI drafting, as described in section 3.

If you connect a financial account to supply your metrics, you authorize Vectig to retrieve that data on your behalf.

Our providers operate internationally, and your data may be processed outside your country. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Data Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on infrastructure we control. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Founder and investor accounts alike can request deletion of the account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, whichever kind of account you hold. Founders can export their data at any time from within the application.

11. Children

Vectig is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the product before they take effect, and we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
